As a VP, Business Development and Executive Visual Effects Producer at ILM, O’Byrne is responsible for directing the studio’s global marketing effort as well as managing budgets and working with clients to make their visions into realities, and inspiring crews to do their best work. O’Byrne has overseen ILM’s work on Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and Star Wars: The Force Awakens among other projects.
Luke O’Byrne joined Industrial Light & Magic in 1992 as a Production Travel Coordinator on Dragonheart. A graduate of U.C. Davis with a major in Communications, O’Byrne fell in love with the visual effects industry straight out of college and never looked back.
