Chris Bannister
As Vice President, Immersive & Virtual Production, Chris helps connect our visionary clients and ILM’s world-class creative and technology teams, architecting solutions for high-stakes immersive and virtual production initiatives.
Chris oversees production strategy across a diverse portfolio, including the Virtual Art Department (VAD), live music experiences, and immersive entertainment, alongside ILM’s flagship StageCraft and Technoprops divisions.
Chris was a core member of the technical development and content production team for The Mandalorian. He subsequently developed the ILM StageCraft business as a lead producer and spearheaded the global expansion of the studio’s StageCraft LED services.
Since joining ILM in 2009 for the Academy Award-winning Rango, Chris has worked across numerous blockbuster visual effects projects. He holds an MFA in Cinema from SFSU and an MS in Computer Science from Georgia Tech, in addition to his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame.
